Q:
How customers can ensure that their electrical consumption meters are working properly?
A:
Any consumer can ensure the proper working of his electrical consumption meter by the following steps:

a- Disconnect all the electric appliances and loads, and ensure that the meter stop immediately, then read the meter reading, and then:

b- Connect only a 100watt/h lamp for a continuous 1 hour period and then disconnect it without operating any loads before reading again the meter, if its reading was increased by 0.1kw only, this is an indication of the proper work of this meter.
